Times: Mondays/Thursdays 7-8PM
Workload: Approximately 2.5 credits. Your specific business could be more or less.
There are no prerequisites to this class, it is designed for first-time entrepreneurs.
Vikram Bhandari is the founder of Campus Maps, which he founded out of his dorm room at UMD.
He has worked at Goldman Sachs, and most recently Zynga where he managed the largest online poker product in the world - Zynga Poker.
The 8 Week Startup was inspired by a gap in the startup education market. There are many programs which teach creativity, entrepreneurship, and theory, but few that also focus on execution and delivery.
The 8 Week Startup was built to combine the best of both by combinining the most essential theory with the most effective execution skills.
Inside you will find real job postings I've used to hire actual employees, scalable user acquisition strategies that have growth-hacked me to over 10,000 customers, viable product sourcing techniques that I've used to build sites and apps with, reliable product-market fit stragegies that work, and more.

The course runs on the UMD Campus from April 10th through June 5th (4/10 - 6/5). Course times are 7PM-8PM Monday and Thursday.
Yes! We encourage first-time founders to apply as well as those without ideas.
If you want to be an entrepreneur and build a real business, this is absolutely the best course available. UMD's current programs are fantastic but have an academic focus.
